Random Topic Tuesday + Etsy Love

This reminds me of Sunday afternoons bringing home flowers from the farmer's market on my little red Linus Dutchi.

These are the cutest midi rings. I love that they are silver, because most I have come across are gold.

I want to make a garland out of these bad boys.

I feel like my Australian Shepherd, Joker, needs his own portrait.

These arrow earrings are so cute.

I love this brooch.

This is a personalized cutting board, and also the one thing my kitchen is missing.

A nice, light scarf perfect for the 4th of July.

The Kings of Summer + A Very Happy Father's Day

The perfect summer weekend:
The Kings of Summer
Fresh salads
Coffee dates
New do
Family
Nightly walks
Thrift store shopping
Pink roses
Hula hooping
Summer dresses

I feel so lucky to call this guy my dad. I could never thank him enough for all the Starbucks coffee dates, introducing me to NPR, teaching me to love history, and taking me to Orioles baseball games when I was little. I love you dad!

♥ Did you do anything special for Father's Day?

Friday Favorites + Weekend Links

I am already longing for fall, mainly so I can sport this attire.

I want this iPhone case so bad! Elsie from ABM mentioned that they are available Scribbles and Stripes on Etsy and all the proceeds go to The American Red Cross of Oklahoma.

The new Kinfolk Vol. 8 is out! This just jumped to the top of my list.

I've wanted this for far too long. I think this would be a cute way to leave little messages.

I'm thinking about making a flower crown. This one is so beautiful.

I was curious about unique and uncommon holidays, and I came across this. Today is Flag Day, and I think Francis Scott Key would be pleased. But get ready because the 29th is Camera Day.

Danielle over at Sometimes Sweet had a post about making homemade mango-peach popsicles. Yum!

Next time we go to Los Angeles, we are doing this.

My favorite vegan bakery called Babycakes has new recipes and an app. Check it all out here

Have a craving for something sweet? Try this recipe from Whole Foods for chocolate earth balls, because the name is too cute to pass up.

Inside My Purse + Lucky Pennies

I was reading Miss Indie the other day and I realized that I have never done a 'What's In My Bag?' post. I thought I would let you all in on all the little treasures I carry with me on my daily adventures.

Purse//Coach. Feather bobby pins//Grand Canyon gift shop; other bobby pins//Anthropologie. I always carry truvia packets for impromptu tea or coffee dates. Compact//Chanel, a birthday present. Lipstick//ZuZu Luxe. Pennies//two are lucky pennies given to me by my hubby, and the smushed one has the New York skyline on it from our trip there last summer. Phone case//Tory Burch. Orbit gum, because it's the perfect peppermint. Sunnies//Ray-Ban wayfarers. Coin purse//London gift shop on our honeymoon.

On My Vanity + A Few Faves

We spent our weekend in Los Angeles driving around with the windows rolled down, listening to Belle & Sebastian, and revisiting our favorite hidden gems around the city. On the drive home back to Phoenix Black Betty (our Prius) broke down. It was an adventure to find our way home, but we made it back safe and sound. Luckily the issue with our car was a recall so it was covered by Toyota.

I felt inspired by all the little loot that traveled back home with us. First of all, I'm in love with the yellow flowers called craspedia (I prefer the other names: billy balls or billy buttons). Also on my vanity is frankie magazine, which I mentioned previously, and it has become a new favorite read. Next would be the cute thought bubble sticky notes to jot down ideas or quotes. The little pink book is Love Poems by Pablo Neruda, in case you were interested.

♥ What are some of your new faves?

P.S. I can't stop listening to Lucy Rose.

Currently + Pushing Daisies

Ned and Chuck are just the cutest.

Watching. I am head over heels for the show Pushing Daisies. I cannot believe that the first season came out in 2007, and I am just seeing it now. I picked it up from the library because it was not on Netflix. If you have not seen it, trust me you will love it!

Playing with. I bought some fun little things from the dollar bins at Target. I ended with cute pink jumprope and a hula hoop. So, pretty much I'm an 8-year-old.

Loving. I love spending time with my newborn niece Leona. Her hands and feet keep growing bigger every time I see her.

Working on. I have one more closet to organize and then my "spring" cleaning is officially done. Clearing out clutter is one of the best feelings. We have made countless trips to Goodwill, and every time we leave I have a burst of energy.

Reading. The Picture of Dorian Gray is written so beautifully. I feel like the words blossom off the page. I cannot wait to see what happens next.

Thinking about. Starting an Etsy shop selling my paintings, and various other little thrifty goodies.

Tasting. I have been getting Naked's pineapple mango coconut water. It is so refreshing when it's 110 degrees out. It is like summer in a bottle.

Anticipating. Tomorrow Jason and I are off to my favorite city, Los Angeles. We have a lot of little things planned, but no matter what we do we always have a great time.

Listening to. I never buy soundtracks, but The Great Gatsby soundtrack is amazing. I really loved how they incorporated modern music, with a nod to the 20's.

Inspired by. Conversations with Jason. I am constantly amazed at how much we still learn from each other after 5 years together. We truly are best friends, and we support each other endlessly. I could not ask for a better hubby.

♥ Thank you to Danielle at Sometimes Sweet for the idea for this post. What are you currently into?
